This &#8220;bread&#8221; can be ready in just 30 minutes and it is great for breakfast, for afternoon teatime and as a snack. Serve it hot!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br>\u2022 350 g all-purpose flour<br>\u2022 1 heaped tablespoon baking powder<br>\u2022 1 teaspoon salt<br>\u2022 100 g melted butter<br>\u2022 2 eggs<br>\u2022 100 ml milk, approximately<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>To brush the bread:<\/strong><br>\u2022 1 egg yolk<br>\u2022 1 tablespoon milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preparation method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the centre. Add baking powder, salt, melted butter and eggs into the well (flour).<\/li><li>Mix the ingredients with a fork and add milk a little at a time, just enough as needed to get a soft dough.<\/li><li>Finish by hand without overworking the dough.<\/li><li>Shape the dough into small bread and arrange, spaced well apart, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.<\/li><li>Brush with slightly beaten egg yolk with milk.<\/li><li>Bake in preheated oven at 200\u00b0C for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.<\/li><li>Serve hot.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Variations:<br>\u2022 Use yogurt instead of milk.<br>\u2022 Add 6 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese, and reduce by half the amount of salt.<br>\u2022 Add 4 tablespoons of sugar (instead of the salt) and raisins or chopped nuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><em>Posted on: 05 December 2012<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO It&#8217;s a homemade recipe very similar to the British &#8220;scone&#8221;, and tastes as good as handmade with love.
